Time flies…

Time is just flying by so fast that I don’t even know where to begin with my update. Aiden is getting so big that it’s unbelievable. He’s like a little person now and he has the best personality ever! He loves to laugh and smile. So many things have been going on. He crawls all over the place, he’s been doing that for a while now. It was crazy, the one day he took like three little crawl steps and flopped down and was like… ok I’m done with this and the next day he just took off! You would have thought he was crawling for months. Needless to say he hasn’t stopped since. Haha. He is also standing up a lot and he does the little step thing while holding onto furniture and stuff. Once in a while he gets a little ballsy and lets go but he usually ends up on his behind. I know that he’ll be walking before I know it. God help me then.

He also loves to try all different kinds of foods. He loves steamed peas, scrambles eggs, macaroni, spaghetti, toast, pizza, and all sorts of stuff. He totally loves to drink water which I think is great. He will totally let you know when it is something he doesn’t like. He is also starting to talk. I’m pretty sure it is more than the babbling. It is starting to sound like words. I swear when you give him something to eat that he likes he’ll say good. I think we’ve heard thanks. He’ll totally say no when he doesn’t want something. Oh, and I think he might have actually say mom the other day when he was reaching out for me to pick him up. It just so awesome and everyday is like a new adventure for us, I love it!

We went on vacation back in May to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and that was a lot of fun. We took Aiden to the beach but he really didn’t like it. He’s crazy and can’t stand when you put his feet in the sand. He would freak out and get really upset. Granted the first time we took him it was pretty windy and loud, so I think that may have had something to do with him not liking it. We took him back a couple of days later and he was more comfortable. John was holding him and he was reaching out to the waves and talking to them. He still wouldn’t let you sit him down in the sand though. We took him to see a light house, we shopped, and he got some homemade ice cream. Of course I didn’t make it but it was homemade and yummy nonetheless. We went on walks and just had a good time. Of course we took lots of pictures and I’ll post some of them later. The drive sucked serious ass but it was worth it. I can honestly tell you that we won’t be doing anything like that again for a while though.

We also took Aiden to the park to play on the baby gym. He didn’t really like the swing. He couldn’t grasp the concept that he had to sit straight up while swinging. He kept leaning really far forward and then he would look down and get all upset. When he was swinging and sitting up though he really seemed to enjoy it. He went down the little slide once and then was crawling through the tunnels. He loved that! He hates sitting in the grass or having it tough his feet though. I’m telling you that the boy is crazy! Hehe. He loved watching the other little kids and babies play. He just sits there and stares at them while smiling. It’s really cute.

Aiden had his 9 month check-up at the doctors back on May 20th and it went really well. He is growing as he should be and doing awesome! He was 30 inches long and in the 95th percentile and 22 lbs. 13 oz and in the 75th percentile. Dr. Lerch was really happy with everything he is doing and how he is growing. He said that Aiden will probably be walking before his first birthday which I can totally see. He didn’t have to get any shots this time thank goodness. Aiden now has 8 teeth and it looks like his gums are swollen for more. Two teeth on the top and two on the bottom. The doctor also said that his back molars on the bottom are are swollen and puffy. I can't believe how fast his teeth are coming in! The only thing Dr. Lerch said was that it seems as if Aiden is getting some anxiety because he gets really nervous around strangers and will just start clawing at his skin and scratching himself up. Just what I need for him to have another one of my bad habits or traits, whatever you want to call it. Hopefully we’ll be able to work on that though. We started trying to get Aiden to drink out of a sippy cup and also a regular little cup. Dr. Lerch said he would like to get him off the bottle at a year old.

We also went to the Atlantic City Tattoo convention in the beginning of June. It was fun. It was me, John, Aiden, Joyce, Cassie & Little Greg. I had to work a booth for the Gypsy Queens for a little while so they all just hung out while I was busy doing that. I think everyone had a great time and of course the kids had fun eatting junk food. Of course everyone there loved Aiden. Then again, how could they not. I'm still trying to figure out what tattoo I want to get for Aiden with his name. John knows what he wants and has the design and everything picked out, he just has to go and get it.

I still can’t believe how fast this past year has gone. Now it’s crunch time and I’m trying to plan Aiden’s baptism as well as his first birthday party. I already have the date and everything set for his baptism. It's just going to be small and the immediate family. It will take place the end of July. I'm not really big on the Catholic religion and I have my reasoning why but he is going to be raised Catholic and make all of his sacraments. Once he makes his Confirmation he can do what he wants to with his religion. As far as his first birthday party, well I’m still working on that one. I know it will be either August 4th or 5th. I’m just not sure what we’re going to do for his party yet. I’m working on it though so I should have a plan in the next couple of days. John and I can't wait to have his birthday party and let him eat his first piece of cake!
